This is Mrs. Brown's third year teaching 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at Pioneer Middle School.  Mrs. Brown lived in many places growing up because her father was in the U.S. Army.  However, she thinks of Fircrest, WA as her hometown because that is where she has lived most of her life.  She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and continued to obtain her Master In Teaching degree from the UW College of Education (GO DAWGS!).  Mrs. Brown has three dogs named Gunnar, Angel and Ernie, and a turtle named Turbo. Her husband says she is not allowed to have any more pets until they get a bigger house. In her free time, Mrs. Brown loves being active outdoors. She enjoys hiking, running, camping, fly-fishing, tennis, golfing and taking her dogs on walks. (No, she doesn't take her turtle on walks.)
