CAMP
Cabin Leadership

Camp has grown.  What started out over 50 years ago as a small group of students and teachers has grown into event in which nearly 250 sixth graders will participate.  To address our increase in numbers and to make the camp experience a positive one for all, we are recruiting parents and a few select high school students to assist us in providing leadership and supervision for students.

With 24 chaperones and leaders for each camp session, along with 4 Pioneer teachers, 8 Camp Colman instructors, the director of Camp Colman, a SHSD nurse, and our own building administrators, we will have one adult for every four students.

Parent Chaperones:  This year we will be asking for parents to serve as chaperones at camp. We will need at least 12 parents per team to participate. The cost for adults to attend camp is $100.00 per adult. Parents are invited to participate in the fundraiser to raise money for their own participation as well as that of their child's. High School Leaders:  In addition, we will be selecting 12 responsible high school students to assist teachers and parents at camp. The cost for HS leaders to attend camp is $50.00 per leader. High schoolers are invited to participate in the fundraiser to raise money for their own participation at camp.
